Murungai Poo / Drumstick Blossom – 1 Cup
Onion – 1
Garlic – 1/4 teaspoon
Curry Leaves few
Dry red Chillis – 3
Oil- 1 tablespoon
Mustard – 1/4 teaspoon
Split Urad Dal – 1/4 teaspoon
Coconut – 2 tablespoon
Salt to Taste
Step by Step Photos on how to make Murungai Poo Poriyal:
- Remove the sticks from the drumstick blossoms and clean it. Heat oil in a Pan. Add Mustard and Urad dal and allow to splutter. Add Onion and Garlic and saute into glossy.
- Add curry leaves and saute them. Add dry red chillis and drumstick blossom and saute them.
- Add turmeric powder and saute it. Add 1 tablespoon of water. Saute until the drumstick blossom is cooked well, Add Coconut and saute it for 2 minutes. Switch off the flame and keep it closed for 5 minutes.
- Drumstick blossom stir fry is now ready to serve.
Drumstick Blossom stir fry can be served as a side dish with steam rice and sambar or any other veg gravy.
