Pepper Mushroom / Kazhan Varuval
Ingredients
- 200 Grams Button Mushrooms
- 1 Onion
- 10 Small Garlic Pods
- 1 Teaspoon Pepper Powder
- Coriander Leaves Fistful
- 1.5 Tablespoon Oil
- 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds
Instructions
- Wash and clean the mushrooms.
- Remove the centre portion of the capsicum and chop them. Chop the onion into smaller pieces.
- Heat oil in a wok and add in cumin seeds. when they are roasted add in finely chopped garlic.
- Saute for 30 seconds, then add in onion and saute until glossy.
- Add in the Capsicum and saute them for 2 minutes.
- Add in the chopped mushroom and saute them. Mushroom releases some water. Saute until the water disappears and the veggies are cooked well.
- Add in salt to taste and Pepper powder. Cook until they blend well with the masalas. If the mixture is very dry then sprinkle few spoons of water and saute them.
- Serve the dish immediately for best taste.

- Heat oil in a wok. Add in cumin seeds and allow them to splutter. Add in chopped onion and saute them until glossy.
2. Add in chopped capsicum, saute for few minutes. Add in chopped button mushroom. Saute until the mushroom is cooked well. Add in salt to taste and pepper powder. Cook until the masalas blend well. Finally garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve the dish immediately for best taste.
