Black Channa is a nutritious food. Black Channa is a Good Source of Fibre. Its Low in Fat. It can be added to increase the levels of protein intake. It contains many other nutrients as well and in turn increases the immunity level. This black channa sundal is a very good Snack Recipe. I have shared the sundal recipe with black chikpea. Black Channa Sundal / ChickPea Sundal
Black Channa Sundal / ChickPea Sundal is a nutritious Snack
Servings: 2
Ingredients
- ½ Cup Black Channa
- 1 Teaspoon Oil
- ½ Teaspoon Mustard
- 1 Spring Curry Leaves
- 2 Dry Red Chilli
- ¼ Asafoetida Powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 Tablespoon Coconut Grated
Instructions
- Soak channa for atleast 4 hours.
- Add them into a pressure cooker and add in required water and add in salt to taste. Pressure cook for 3 whistles in medium flame. Switch off the flame and allow the pressure to release on its own. Open the pressure cooker and drain the extra water.
- Heat oil in a wok. Add in mustard and allow them to splutter.
- Add in dry red chilli and asafoetida. Add in Black channa.
- Mix gently. Add in Coconut and switch off the flame.
- Nutritious Channa sundal is now ready to serve.
Notes
- I soaked the channa overnight.
Step by step photos on how to make Black Channa Sundal/ChickPea Sundal:
