Garlic Raitha
Garlic Raitha is a variation from the regular Onion Raitha. Garlic chunks are roasted in oil along with jeera and added with the whisked Curd/Yogurt. Here goes the recipe…

Garlic Raitha

Prep time: 10 Min | Cook time: 5 Min | Total time: 15 Min
Recipe type: Side Dish | Cuisine: Indian | Yield / Serves: 2
Taste: Tanginess of Garlic with bits of Garlic

Ingredients:

Curd / Yogurt – 1/2 Cup
Garlic – 15 pods
Cumin Seeds – 1 teaspoon
Oil – 1 teaspoon
Coriander Leaves – 1 teaspoon (optional)
Salt – To Taste

Step by Step Photos on how to make Garlic Raitha:

    1. Take Yogurt in a bowl. Whisk it to make even consistency. Set aside. Heat oil in a pan. Add in the Cumin Seeds and allow it to splutter. Add in the chopped garlic pods.

    2. Saute until the Garlic pods are roasted well. Cool them a bit. Add them into the whisked yogurt, Add salt to taste. Mix them slowly.

Tips:

  • Add salt carefully as yogurt takes very little salt.
  • Garnishing with Coriander leaves is another option.

Serving Suggestion:

Garlic Raitha is served alongside Variety Rice, Pulao, Rotis and Parathas..
