Instructions
Heat oil in a wok and add in cumin seeds, Mustard and Urad Dal and allow them to splutter.
Add in Onion and curry leaves and saute them until the onion gets glossy.
Add in chopped tomato and salt and saute until the tomatoes are mushy.
Add In Channa dal and required water and cook until the dal is cooked soft.
Add in Turkey Berry and required water and cook until the turkey berry is cooked soft.
Add in Coriander Powder, Chilli Powder and salt and saute until the masalas blend well.
Mash the turkey berry with ladle. Switch off the flame.
Healthy side dish for rice is now ready to serve.
Notes
I have added sundakkai as whole to reduce the chopping time. It can also be chopped and added to reduce the hasstle of mashing it at the last step.
Sundakkai has a slight bitter taste.
