Carrot Rice / Carrot Sadam

Carrot Rice / Carrot Sadam is a perfect lunchbox recipe.

  • 1.5 Cups Plain Rice
  • 1 Cup Carrot Grated
  • 1/4 Cup Peanuts
  • 1 Onion Chopped
  • 2 Spring Curry Leaves
  • 2 Green Chilli
  • 2 Tablespoon Ghee
  • 1 Teaspoon Mustard
  • Salt To taste
  1. Grate Carrot. Chop Onion. Slit Green Chillies.

  2. Heat Ghee in a Pan. Add Mustard seeds and allow to splutter.

  3. Add chopped onion and saute until glossy. Add curry leaves and green chillies and saute them. Add Peanuts and saute them for 2 minutes.

  4. Add the grated carrot and saute it until it is cooked well. Add in salt.

  5. Once the carrot is cooked well switch off the flame and add the boiled rice and mix them. 

  6. Tasty and nutritious carrot rice is now ready to serve.
