Ingredients
10SmallJackfruit Seeds
½CupCoconutGrated
1.5TeaspoonPoppy Seeds
1TablespoonOil
1inchcinnamon
2Cloves
2Cardamom
1Bay Leaves
1OnionSliced
1.5TeaspoonGinger Garlic Paste
2Green Chillis
Curry LeavesFistful
1TeaspoonRed chilli Powder
½TeaspoonTurmeric Powder
1.5TeaspoonCoriander Powder
Instructions
Dry roast jackfruit seeds. Remove the outer skin. Add them into pressure cooker with required water. Pressure cook for 3 whistles. Switch off the flame and set them aside.
Heat oil in a wok. Add in Cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and bay leaves. Heat until nice aroma comes out.
Add in sliced onion and green chillis and saute until glossy.
Add in poppy seeds and coconut into a blender with required water and blend them into a smooth paste.
Add in curry leaves and saute them. Add ginger garlic paste into the onion and saute for few minutes. Add in the coconut paste. Add in jackfruit seeds. Cook for few minutes.
Add in chilli powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder. Cook until the masalas blend well.
Delicious Jackfruit seed kurma is now ready to serve.
Notes
Soak poppy seeds in water befor blending them with coconut.
