Holi is a festival of colors. The Festivel signifies the victory of good over evil. It signifies the arrival of spring and the end of winter. As part of Holi celebration, Various colors and water are thrown on each other, amidst loud music, drums etc to celebrate Holi. I enjoyed Colorful Milk Peda - Holi Recipe.
Water guns and water-filled balloons are also used. From Kids to elder Participate there. In the evening people dress up and visit friends. The food eaten on Holi mostly consists of your usual Indian cuisine. A few sweet dishes are prepared in various parts of india.
Shakarpara (a sugar-coated deep fried snack), gujia (a type of samosa filled with dried fruit and coconut) and Pedas(Milk Sweet) in northen parts of india.
Pooran Poli (a stuffed sweet flatbread) is popular in the states of Karnataka, Maharashtra and Gujarat, and eaten especially on Holi.
I decided to prepare an easy, colourful and healthy recipe. That is how I landed in making Milk Peda with Condensed Milk. This is a easy recipe. Not using any foodcolors I got these colors from pistachios, mango and rose.
