    Ginger Cardamom Tea / Ginger Cardamom Chai is a spicy and flavourful tea. Crushed ginger and Cardamom are added along with tea leaves. They start infusing with water. Finally boiled milk is added. Since this tea is spicy it can be served with any sweet snack like biscuits. A hot cup of chai with your favourite snack is simply bliss. It is a very refreshing drink.     Ginger Cardamom Tea / Ginger Cardamom Chai

    Ginger Cardamom Tea / Ginger Cardamom Chai is a refreshing drink.

    Ingredients

    • ¾ Cup Water
    • ½ Cup Milk
    • ½ Inch Ginger
    • 3 Cardamom
    • 1 Teaspoon Sugar
    • 1 Teaspoon Tea Powder / Leaves

    Instructions

    • Heat Water in a sauce pan. Bring it to boil. Add in Tea Leaves. Let them start infusing.
    • Crush the ginger and cardamom. Add them in. 
    • Allow them to simmer in low flame for 3 minutes. Switch off the flame and drain the tea decoction.
    • Bring the milk to boil. Add it into the tea decoction. Ginger Cardamom Chai is now ready to serve.
    • Serve Chai with any snack like biscuits, chakli, cookies, peanuts or any of your favourite snack.

    Notes

    • My tea is lighter if you wish to have stronger tea then add in ½ teaspoon more tea leaves for infusion.
    • Add in sugar as per your taste.
    • Sugar can be replaced with jaggery powder.
