    Mutton Cashew Fry

    Mutton Cashew Fry is a rich and tasty Appetiser. It can also be made into Mutton Curry with cashew by increasing the water content. Cashews adds more richness and crunchiness to the recipe. Each piece of mutton is cooked and tampered with selected spices. It is flavoural side dish too.

    Mutton Cashew Fry

    Mutton Cashew Fry is a yummy and crunchy appetizer.

    Ingredients

    To Pressure Cook

    • 250 Grams Mutton
    • 1.5 Cups Water
    • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
    • 1 Teaspoon Salt

    For Tampering

    • 1 Tablespoon Oil
    • 15 Cashews
    • 1 Teaspoon Fennel Seeds
    • 1 BayLeaf
    • 2 Cardamom
    • 2 Cloves
    • ½ inch Cinnamon stick
    • 3 Dry Red Chillis

    Other Ingredients

    • 1 Tablespoon Oil
    • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds
    • Fistful Coriander Leaves Chopped
    • 2 Teaspoon Coriander Powder
    • 1 Teaspoon Garam Masala
    • 1 Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
    • Salt to Taste
    • 1 Onion Chopped
    • 1 Tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste

    Instructions

    To Pressure Cook

    • Add in Mutton, Water, Salt and Turmeric Powder and pressure cook for 5 whistles in medium flame. Switch off the flame. Allow the pressure to release on its own. Open the pressure cooker and set aside. Remove the excess water and use it to make mutton Curry.

    For Mutton Cashew fry

    • Heat oil in a wok. Add in cumin seeds and allow them to splutter.
    • Add in onion and saute them until glossy.
    • Add in chopped coriander leaves and give a quick stir.
    • Add in mutton pieces and give a quick stir.
    • Add in salt to taste, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, Coriander powder and red chilli powder. Saute them for few minutes. If the mixture is too dry add in few spoons of water and saute them.

    For Tampering

    • Add oil in a tampering pan. Add in all the ingredients mentioned under to tamper and saute them for few minutes.
    • Add the tampering mixture into the mutton mixture. Give a quick stir and saute the mutton mixture for few more minutes.
    • Yummy and delicious Mutton Cashew fry is now ready to serve.
