Potato Fry or Sauted Potato is a simple side dish recipe for rice. There are many ways of preparing a potato fry. I am sharing the soft and spicy version here. It tastes awesome. A Simple potato fry makes the Indian meal special. The Crushed Garlic added enhances the flavour and gives the extra taste. It makes a great side dish when accompanied with any variety rice/Pulao. Ingredients
- 3 Potatoes Medium sized
- 2 Garlic Pods
- 1 Teaspoon Chilli Powder
- 1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- Salt as per taste
- Curry Leaves Fistful
- 1 Tablespoon Oil
- 1/2 Teaspoon Mustard
Instructions

Heat oil in a Wok. Add in mustard and allow them to splutter. Add in crushed/chopped garlic and saute for few minutes. Add in curry leaves.

Add in chopped potatoes and saute them. Cook until the potatoes are cooked soft. Add in salt to taste.

Add in chilli powder and turmeric powder. Saute until the masalas blend well.

Yummy stir fry is now ready to be served with any variety rice and packed in a lunch box.
Recipe Notes
- Keep stirring then and there or the potatoes might get burnt or stick to the bottom of the pan.
