    Ellu Podi Recipe/ Sesame Chutney Recipe is an instant chutney powder that can be made within few minutes. Ellu podi can be had with idly, dosa or curd rice. This recipe tastes best when done with the brown sesame seeds. This is a bit oily when ground fresh. Hence finish it as early as possible for best taste. It keeps good up to 2 weeks.     Ingredients

    • 100 Grams Black Sesame Seeds
    • 4 Dry Red Chillis
    • Tamarind Amla Sized
    • 8 Garlic cloves small
    • Salt to taste
    • Curry Leaves a Spring

    Instructions

    • Dry roast all the ingredients. 
    • Cool them down.
    • Blend them into a coarse powder.

    Notes

    • Black sesame seeds are very well suited for this recipe.
    • 1 tablespoon of Channa dal and Urad dal can also be added along to this recipe
    • Sesame chutney powder is extra spicy and tangy to be suitable to be have with plain idlis, dosas or rice.
