    Spicy Red Chicken Curry

    Spicy Red Chicken Curry is a Spicy, Beautiful and appetizing Chicken Curry.

    Ingredients

    For Marination Masala

    • 250 Grams Chicken
    • 1 Teaspoon Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
    • ½ Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
    • 1 Teaspoon Cumin Powder
    • 1 Teaspoon Garam Masala Powder
    • 1 Tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste
    • 2 Tablespoon Thick Curd
    • Salt To Taste

    For Red Paste

    • 1 Teaspoon Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
    • 15 Pods Garlic Small
    • Water As required

    Other Ingredients

    • 2 Tablespoon Oil
    • 1 Big Onion
    • 1 Bay Leaf
    • 1 Clove
    • 1 Inch Cinnamon Stick
    • Coriander Leaves Fistful

    Instructions

    To Prepare Red Paste

    • Add the chilli powder and garlic into a blender and required water into a blender. Blend them into a smooth paste. Set it aside.

    Other Instructions

    • Add in Ginger garlic paste, Curd, Chilli Powder, Cumin Powder, Garam Masala Powder, Turmeric Powder and Salt in a bowl and mix them into a paste without lumps.
    • Wash and clean the chicken well. Add the chicken into the marination masala. Mix them well. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
    • Heat oil in a frying pan. Add in Bay leaves, Cinnamon and cloves. Saute for 30 seconds.
    • Add in sliced onion and saute until glossy. Add in Coriander leaves and saute them for few minutes.
    • Add in the marinated chicken mixture. Saute them. Add required water. Close the vessel and leave it until the chicken is cooked tender. Stir occasionally. If using a pressure cooker cook for 3 whistles in low flame.
    • Give a quick stir and cook until the oil separates in the sides of the vessel.
    • Beautiful and tasty Red chicken Curry is now ready to serve.

    Notes

    • Kashmiri Chilli powder is the key ingredient for the vibrant red color of the gravy so do not replace it.
    • The curry can be made watery or thick so adjust the water consistency accordingly

    1. Add in ginger garlic paste, Curd, Chilli Powder, Cumin Powder, Garam Masala Powder, Turmeric Powder and Salt in a bowl and mix them.

    3. Heat oil in a frying pan. Add in Bay leaves, Cinnamon and cloves. Add in sliced onion and saute until glossy. Add in Coriander leaves and saute them for few minutes.

    4. Add in the marinated chicken mixture into the onion. Start cooking them. Add required water. Close the vessel and leave it until the chicken is cooked tender. Stir occasionally. If using a pressure cooker cook for 3 whistles in low flame.

    5. Add the chilli powder and garlic into a blender and required water into a blender. Blend them into a smooth paste. Add the red paste into the cooked chicken.

    6. Give a quick stir and cook until the oil separates in the sides of the vessel.
